An late own goal from Michael Dawson consigned Hull City to a 1-0 defeat at Watford, their sixth in a row.
Watford dominated the opening proceedings as Younes Kaboul headed against the bar from a corner in the fourth minute.
Hull nearly took the lead after the break but Abel Hernandez shot straight at Heurelho Gomes when through on goal.
The breakthrough came in the 82nd minute when Nordin Amrabat’s cross picked out Roberto Pereyra and his shot cannoned off Dawson and into the net for Watford to clinch the points and continue their best start to a PL season.
