Substitute Olivier Giroud scored with his first two touches of the match as three goals in seven minutes helped Arsenal beat Sunderland 4-1.
After Alexis Sanchez headed in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s cross in the 19th minute, Sunderland hit back in the second half when Petr Cech brought down Duncan Watmore and Jermain Defoe scored from the spot.
But Giroud came on after 69 minutes for his first Premier League appearance since returning from injury and changed the match.
He hooked in Keiran Gibbs’ cross before heading in his second from Mesut Ozil’s corner.
Sanchez cleverly poked the ball past Jordan Pickford to seal the win against Sunderland who remain bottom and without a win.
