Eric Dier had given Spurs a half-time lead with a close-range finish from a corner on three minutes.
Everton turned the match on its head with two goals in three minutes from Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun midway through the second half.
But Christian Eriksen’s fourth goal in as many matches against Everton rescued a point as he slotted in a 75th-minute free-kick.
Spurs finish fourth on 71 points, while Everton are eighth on 54.
