Substitute Billy Sharp struck late on to hand Sheffield United a 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth on their Premier League return.
The Blades started brightly, David McGoldrick forcing Aaron Ramsdale into a first-minute save. McGoldrick went close again in the first half, flashing a shot wide.
After a goalless first half, AFC Bournemouth took the lead 17 minutes after the restart. Dean Henderson parried Callum Wilson’s close-range effort in a scramble after a corner, allowing Chris Mepham to power in the rebound.
Sheffield United kept pushing, and after another scramble, Sharp poked the ball in to give his boyhood club a point on their return to the top flight after 12 years away.
