MAN OF THE MATCH?

Match summary

Leandro Trossard's goal on his Premier League debut earned Brighton & Hove Albion a 1-1 draw at home to West Ham United.

Brighton missed a glorious chance after just two minutes, Dan Burn heading over from six yards.

Lukasz Fabianski tipped over Dale Stephens’ stinging effort, while the Video Assistant Referee overturned Trossard’s strike after Burn was ruled offside before supplying the winger with the pass.

West Ham opened the scoring on 61 minutes, Chicharito latching on to Manuel Lanzini’s pass and beating Mat Ryan with a powerful low finish.

It took Brighton only four minutes to equalise. Trossard collected a loose ball to finish low to Fabianski’s right.

Substitute Neal Maupay and Davy Propper missed good opportunities to give Brighton a second win, but it ended level at the Amex Stadium.
