Matheus Pereira and Callum Robinson each scored twice as West Bromwich Albion stunned 10-man Chelsea 5-2 at Stamford Bridge to hand Thomas Tuchel his first Premier League defeat.
Chelsea led on 27 minutes when Christian Pulisic converted a rebound from Marcos Alonso’s free-kick. But two minutes later the hosts lost Thiago Silva to a red card for a second booking.
West Brom went ahead with two Pereira goals in first-half stoppage time as Chelsea conceded for the first time under Tuchel at home.
The visitors extended their lead with another quick-fire double through brilliant goals from Callum Robinson and Mbaye Diagne midway through the second half.
Chelsea pulled one back from half-time substitute Mason Mount, but any hopes of a comeback ended when Pereira played in Robinson in stoppage time to seal a fourth win this season that moves West Brom to 21 points in 19th, seven points off safety.
Chelsea stay fourth on 51 points, but could be overtaken by West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
