Brighton & Hove Albion moved seven points clear of the relegation zone with a 0-0 draw against Everton at the Amex Stadium.
In an open first half Everton's Tom Davies glanced Seamus Coleman's left-wing cross wide before Neal Maupay's close-range shot for Brighton was brilliantly blocked by Yerry Mina.
Yves Bissouma's spectacular bicycle kick landed on the roof of the net and Brighton began to dominate in the second half, with Jakub Moder sweeping two attempts over the bar before Coleman blocked Adam Lallana's effort.
Bissouma then drove into the box and teed up Maupay with 14 minutes left but he fired over, as did Lallana twice late on.
Everton substitute Alex Iwobi might have won it in added time but his attempt also cleared the crossbar as both defences held firm.
The draw, which extended Brighton's unbeaten home Premier League run against Everton to four matches, moves the Seagulls up one place to 15th on 33 points, seven clear of third-from-bottom Fulham.
Everton remain eighth with 48 points.
