Femi Azeez scored twice as Reading returned to winning ways in Division 2 with a comprehensive victory over third placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The defeat means Wolves will have to wait to see if they have done enough to earn a place in the play-offs.
Reading are in eighth place on 31 points, four behind Wolves, ahead of the final match of the campaign on 10 May when the teams meet again.
