Joe Willock scored his first goal of the season as Newcastle United came from behind to draw 1-1 at West Ham United, going six matches unbeaten and stopping the Hammers from returning to the top four.
West Ham almost took the lead on 20 minutes but Jarrod Bowen's angled drive was tipped on to the crossbar by Martin Dubravka.
Craig Dawson scored for the second Premier League match in succession when he headed in Aaron Cresswell's free-kick on 32 minutes.
However, Newcastle equalised in first-half stoppage time through Willock, whose effort just crossed the line following a poor attempted clearance by Declan Rice.
Willock came close to adding a second goal in the 66th minute, only for his curling strike to fly narrowly wide.
Back-to-back draws keep West Ham in fifth place on 42 points, a point behind fourth-placed Manchester United having played a match more.
Newcastle lie 17th with 22 points, four clear of the relegation zone.
