Cameron Archer's goal earned a 1-1 comeback draw for Aston Villa against Middlesbrough in Premier League 2 Division 2.

Middlesbrough took a 15th-minute lead when Amadou Sylla scored from the penalty spot after a foul by Easah Suliman.

Goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo made some excellent saves to keep Boro from extending their lead.

Villa equalised in the 74th minute when a long ball from Callum Rowe found Archer to level.

The result leaves Villa in the final play-off position, fifth place, on 27 points, two points above Manchester United. 

Boro drop down to ninth on 19 points.
