Jamie Soule scored twice as West Bromwich Albion moved up to eighth in Premier League 2 Division 2 with a 3-1 victory over Sunderland.

The 18-year-old striker tapped in the opener from close range on 11 minutes, but Sunderland were level eight minutes later through Lee Connelly.

Sixteen-year-old Morgan Rogers, who set up the opening goal, missed a penalty, but Soule restored West Brom's lead in the 63rd minute.

In stoppage time, Rogers, who scored four goals in a 6-2 win at Norwich City in their previous PL2 match, provided his second assist of the match as Rayhaan Tulloch made it 3-1.

West Brom are on 20 points, 11 more than bottom club Sunderland.
