Brighton & Hove Albion were unable to take advantage of Everton's draw on Monday evening as they let slip a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Blackburn Rovers.
After Max Sanders had struck twice to give Brighton a 2-0 half-time lead, Leo Ostigard put the ball into his own net two minutes after the interval.
Harry Chapman’s goal for relegation-battling Rovers with 19 minutes remaining frustrated Brighton, who next face Swansea City on 5 April.
Brighton remain four points behind leaders Everton with three matches to play.
Rovers move up to ninth, three points clear of the relegation zone.
