West Ham United made a winning start to the defence of the Premier League Cup with a 2-0 win at Leicester City in Group B.

Both goals came after the break, Marcus Browne scoring the first before Domingos Quina doubled the lead with a sensational chip from just inside the City half.

James Tilley hit a hat-trick as Brighton & Hove Albion eased past Nottingham Forest with a 7-0 victory in their opening Premier League Cup Group E match.

West Ham next face Nottingham Forest on 4 November while Leicester host Brighton the following day.
