Oumar Niasse hit a hat-trick as Premier League 2 Division 1 leaders Everton came from two goals down to beat Reading 6-3 and open up a four-point lead at the top of the table.

Andrija Novakovich scored twice for the Royals early on but Niasse hit his treble in 21 minutes to give David Unsworth's side a 3-2 lead at the break.

Kieran Dowell, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Liam Walsh stretched Everton's lead to 6-2 before Thomas McIntyre's late header pulled one back for the hosts.

Reading and Everton both play their next fixtures on Sunday. The Royals travel to the Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground to meet Sunderland and Everton face a Merseyside derby away to Liverpool.
