Ahead of the 2019/20 season, we look at the new things to keep an eye out for in the Premier League.

Unique Nike Merlin ball

Premier League players will be looking to work their magic with the new Nike Merlin ball in 2019/20.

The new Nike Merlin will be used for the first time in the competition when Liverpool host Norwich City on Friday 9 August and is the first bespoke ball of its kind produced solely for England's top flight.

Liverpool's Fabinho (pictured) is among those who have already got their hands, and feet, on the new ball as clubs returned to pre-season training last week.

And after a record-breaking 1,072 goals were scored last season, there could be even more in 2019/20 thanks to Nike's latest innovations, including a bigger "sweet spot" and enhanced All Conditions Control (ACC) technology.
