The Scout assesses the player prices in 2019/20 Fantasy Premier League and what they mean for FPL managers.
Mohamed Salah (£12.5m)
FPL managers in might find it a little easier to fit Mohamed Salah into their squads this season.
The Liverpool winger, who crucially remains a midfielder in the 2019/20 game, has dropped in price and is available to pick at a starting cost of £12.5million.
Salah started last term at £13.0m and went on to score 22 goals, 12 assists and 259 points.
He finished as the highest-scoring player in the game for the second successive campaign, following on from his FPL single-season record 303 points in 2017/18.
Mane influence
The rise in cost of his team-mate, Sadio Mane, could play a major role in determining Salah's popularity in FPL.
Mane is now priced at £11.5m, up from his starting value of £9.5m last season.
Mane equalled Salah's 22 goals last term and as a result received over 4.5m transfers in compared with the 2.6m of Salah.
With Mane rising and Salah falling, the latter might be backed by more managers for opening squads.
Striker hikes
Raul Jimenez and Callum Wilson have also risen in price by £2.0m each after impressive campaigns.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers forward now costs £7.5m, up from last season's initial £5.5m.
Jimenez produced 13 goals and 10 assists in his outstanding debut FPL season.
But the price and position change of his team-mate Diogo Jota could be a key factor.
Jota was listed as a midfielder last term but is now a forward for 2019/20 after playing up front alongside Jimenez in the second half of last campaign. He will cost managers £6.5m.
Wilson worth it
AFC Bournemouth's Wilson is available at £8.0m, having started last season at £6.0m.
Wilson produced 14 goals and 12 assists, averaging 5.6 points per match in 2018/19.
His opening schedule suggests he can still be worth the outlay.
The Cherries face only two of last season's top-six sides in the opening 10 Gameweeks.
Promoted pair
Last season's top scorer in the Championship, Teemu Pukki, has been priced at £6.5m following his prolific campaign for Norwich City.
The forward fired 29 goals and supplied a further nine assists for the Canaries in 2018/19.
Meanwhile, Jack Grealish is available for £6.0m as Aston Villa return to the Premier League.
The midfielder produced six goals and seven assists in last season's Championship.
And a fine run of opening fixtures can raise his early points potential in FPL.
Villa face only two of last term's top-six teams in the first nine Gameweeks.
