Midfielder Claudio Yacob is suspended for West Bromwich Albion, but Jonny Evans is available again after his ban. James McClean has been passed fit after suffering a gash in his leg last week. 

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is fit but Pep Guardiola could not confirm whether Bacary Sagna (thigh), Kevin De Bruyne (calf) and Pablo Zabaleta (ankle) will return from injury at The Hawthorns.

West Bromwich Albion have lost their last nine Premier League matches against Manchester City. The only side they have lost more in a row against is Chelsea (11 from 2002 to 2011). 

Man City are unbeaten in their last 13 PL encounters with the Baggies, drawing once. They last lost to them in December 2008 when Roman Bednar scored a 90th-minute winner for West Brom. 

David Silva has been directly involved in seven goals in his eight PL appearances against West Brom, scoring four and assisting three. 

Pep Guardiola has failed to win any of his last three top-flight matches (D2 L1). He last went four league matches without a win as a manager in May 2009.
