2001: Blackburn Rovers 7-1 West Ham United

Blackburn Rovers put seven goals past West Ham United in a comprehensive win as the Hammers suffered a second successive heavy away defeat.

Having lost 5-0 to Everton the week before, West Ham found themselves 3-0 down in the opening half hour thanks to goals from Garry Flitcroft, David Dunn and Damien Johnson.

Michael Carrick replied to make it 3-1, but after the break, Tomas Repka was sent off and Grant McCann scored an own-goal.

A stunning strike from Tugay made it 5-1 and Matt Jansen and Craig Hignett wrapped the scoring up.

Blackburn sat eighth with 12 points while West Ham dropped to 19th on five points, one adrift of safety.

2006: Wigan Athletic 1-3 Manchester United

Premier League leaders Manchester United came from a goal down to beat Wigan Athletic 3-1 and stay top of the table.

Leighton Baines fired a 30-yard free-kick into the top corner to give the Latics a fourth-minute lead.

Nemanja Vidic headed his first Man Utd goal from a corner to equalise in the 62nd minut  and Louis Saha put the visitors ahead four minutes later.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer then put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time.

United led the table with 19 points, ahead of Chelsea on goal difference. Wigan dropped down to 17th on five points, with only a superior goal difference keeping them out of the bottom three.
