2002: Everton 2-1 Arsenal

A spectacular winner from 16-year-old Wayne Rooney ended Arsenal's 30-match unbeaten league run.

Fredrik Ljungberg put Arsenal ahead inside eight minutes but Arsene Wenger's men were pegged back by Tomasz Radzinski's equaliser.

Rooney’s unstoppable 30-yard strike then won it for Everton, after which Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger called him 'the greatest prospect in English football.'

Arsenal dropped to second on 23 points, a point behind leaders Liverpool. Everton moved up to ninth with 14 points.
