Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a superb volley to give Everton a 1-0 win over Manchester City and leapfrog their opponents at the top of the Premier League 2 Division 1 table.
The forward, signed from Sheffield United in the summer, struck midway through the second half at Southport.
Paolo Fernandes, the Premier League 2 player of October, was closest to scoring for City when his shot hit a post.
The win put Everton two points clear of City at the top.
