Jermain Defoe joined an exclusive club on Saturday afternoon when he scored his 150th Premier League goal.
His 34th-minute strike in Sunderland's 3-0 victory over Hull City, his 443rd Premier League appearance, means he is only the eighth player to reach that mark.
Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney, Andrew Cole, Frank Lampard, Thierry Henry, Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen are the other players to have scored 150 PL goals or more.
"It feels amazing," Defoe told safc.com. "To get it at home in front of these fans is special.
"I wanted to do it at the Stadium of Light so to do it here in a big game that we've won, and earn back-to-back wins, was meant to be, and I believe it was meant to happen like this so I’m delighted."
Don't worry, @IAmJermainDefoe - we hadn't forgotten!

Being regarded as one of the best poachers in the top-flight, it is unsurprising that most of Defoe's goals have been scored from inside the box, with only 22 being scored from outside of the box.
The trademark clinical finish on Saturday was a rare left-footed goal for Defoe. Only 27 of his 150 goals have been scored with that leg, while only five of his goals have been scored by his head.
How the goals have been scored | Goals |
Inside area/Outside area | 128/22 |
Left foot/Right foot | 27/118 |
Headers | 5 |
Penalties | 12 |
Home/Away | 91/59 |
As a substitute | 23 |
It is Defoe's 26th goal for Sunderland, from 62 appearances, which is some way short of the 91 goals he scored for Tottenham Hotspur in 276 appearances.

Tottenham Hotspur | 91 (276) |

Defoe, who scored his first PL goal against Ipswich Town for West Ham in October 2001, now has four goals against Hull City and he scored against 35 PL teams in total.
Top of that list is Wigan Athletic against whom he has 10 goals, helped by five second-half goals against them for Spurs in a 9-1 victory in 2009.
