1994: Anders Limpar joins Everton

Anders Limpar joined Everton from Arsenal on transfer deadline day in 1994. 

The 29-year-old midfielder went on to have a successful career at Goodison Park, winning the FA Cup and Charity Shield in his three years on Merseyside, making 66 PL appearances in total.

2010: Portsmouth 0-5 Chelsea

Chelsea moved into second-place and to within one point of leaders Manchester United with an emphatic win at Fratton Park. 

A brace each for Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda put Carlo Ancelotti’s side in control before Frank Lampard added the fifth in stoppage time to condemn Portsmouth to their 21st league defeat of the campaign.

The result left Portsmouth bottom of the table on 13 points, 14 points from safety with seven matches left to play. At the other end Chelsea were second with 68 points.
