Sunderland v Leicester City

Jermain Defoe scored his eighth Premier League goal of the season to help Sunderland beat Leicester City at the Stadium of Light.

Robert Huth's own goal broke the deadlock before Defoe doubled Sunderland’s lead with an opportunistic finish on 77 minutes.

Substitute Shinji Okazaki grabbed a goal back for Claudio Ranieri’s team with 10 minutes left, and they put pressure on Sunderland’s goal.

But goalkeeper Jordan Pickford made a stunning save from Wes Morgan in stoppage time to secure the points that lift Sunderland off the bottom of the table.
