Jose Mourinho says he is returning to the Premier League with a passion to develop Tottenham Hotspur's young players.
On Wednesday, Spurs appointed Mourinho, one of the most successful managers in Premier League history, as their new head coach.
In his first interview the three-time champion has revealed his desire to use the "best" stadium and training facilities in the world to nurture the club's up-and-coming talent.
"What can I promise? Passion," the 56-year-old Portuguese told the club's official website.
"I really like this squad and looking at the young players, there is not one manager in the world that doesn't like to play young players and to help them develop.
"I look to our history and you see that the Academy is always giving the talents that the first team need. I look forward to work with that profile.
"You have to say [it is] the best stadium in the world [and] the training ground is second to none. You cannot compare with European football at any level and I've been in the majority of the best places."
