Eight goals and two assists in the last six Gameweeks have taken Jamie Vardy (£9.6m) to the top of the Fantasy Premier League player standings.
The Leicester City striker has been the prime target for FPL managers ahead of his match with Brighton & Hove Albion, earning over 389,000 new owners.
Vardy was the third-top captain pick in Gameweek 12, backed by over 674,000 with the armband.
And with his ownership now rising to 36.1 per cent, he will again be among the key captain contenders.
Strike rivals
His fellow forwards Marcus Rashford (£8.6m) and Harry Kane (£10.8m) can also deliver points on their travels.
Manchester United's Rashford travels to Sheffield United on the back of three goals and an assist in the last four Gameweeks.
And the arrival of Jose Mourinho as Tottenham Hotspur’s new head coach could revive Kane’s prospects against West Ham United.
Kane has scored twice in three of his last seven Premier League meetings with the Hammers.
Tempting team-mates
Anthony Martial (£7.8m) and Son Heung-min (£9.6m) provide further options in the Man Utd and Spurs attacks respectively.
Martial has produced returns in five of his six Gameweek starts and served up his season-high haul of 10 points against Brighton last time out.
Son has been Spurs’ most consistent player recently, with a goal or assist in the last three Gameweeks.
Serious threats to Saints
Elsewhere in north London, Arsenal frontmen Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.0m) and Alexandre Lacazette (£9.3m) host a Southampton side that have struggled defensively.
The Saints have conceded 23 goals in the last seven Gameweeks.
That looks promising for Aubameyang, who has scored in four of the Gunners’ six home matches this season.
Lacazette has also impressed at Emirates Stadium, producing returns in all four of his appearances there.
