Having returned 30 points in his last two matches, Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) looks set to remain top of the captain picks in Fantasy Premier League.
The Liverpool attacker has climbed to the top of the FPL player standings on the back of five double-figure hauls in his last 10 appearances.
Indeed, he registered a 16-point return last time out with two goals in the 4-0 win against Southampton.
And with doubts remaining over the availability of team-mate Sadio Mane (£12.2m) for the Gameweek 26 trip to Norwich City, Salah will again provide the Reds' main goal threat.
The Egyptian enjoyed a successful last meeting with the Canaries, returning 12 points thanks to a goal and an assist in the season's opener.
City challengers
Sergio Aguero (£12.0m) is one of three big-hitters from Manchester City who can challenge Salah for top spot.
The Argentinian has produced six goals and an assist in the last four Gameweeks and will look to continue his form at the expense of West Ham United.
Aguero’s record at Etihad Stadium further strengthens his claim, averaging 7.8 points per home start this season.
Kevin De Bruyne (£10.7m) and Riyad Mahrez (£8.5m) have been Man City’s most explosive midfielders in FPL. They have recorded six and five double-figure hauls respectively.
On home soil, De Bruyne’s 41 shots and 52 chances created are both team-leading totals. Mahrez, meanwhile, supplied three assists and earned 14 points in a 5-0 away win over the Hammers in Gameweek 1.
What the experts say
Holly Shand (@FFCommunity_): Salah is the obvious option once again. He's got the form and the fixture. Hopefully he returns fresh from the winter break.
Paul Gee (@FplPaulGee): The safe pick would be Salah, especially if Mane is once again ruled out. However, I think Aguero will carry on getting chances and if you are on your Wildcard and chasing a lead, he is the man for you.
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily): In my mind there is no one better to hand the armband to than Salah. He has the perfect blend of form and fixtures. The only thing that puts me off is that he doesn't play until the second weekend of the Gameweek and, as a result, there is a risk of injuries in training etc that we don't know about until way after the deadline. Captaining someone like De Bruyne or Aguero v West Ham limits that risk.
Lee Bonfield (@FPL Family): An in-form striker against an out-of-form defence, Aguero is primed for returns. He had the most shots on target of any player in the Tottenham Hotspur match last weekend, where, incredibly, he and City didn't score. Meanwhile, West Ham struggled against Brighton & Hove Albion in their previous match. Hammer the armband on the Argentinian.
Ben McNair (@drbenmcnair): I don't own him, but I think Aguero is the best choice. He's likely to start given City could be missing Raheem Sterling's (£11.7m) goal threat. With the winter break upon us I think Pep Guardiola will start his best players to maintain sharpness. Aguero is dynamite when he is on the pitch. No player has higher expected goal involvement per 90 minutes this season.
