When 17-year-old Aaron Ramsey moved from Cardiff City to Arsenal on this day in 2008 it was the start of an 11-year spell with the club.

The teenage Welshman, who remains Cardiff's youngest ever player, made a big impression for the Gunners.

With his trickery on both wings and eye for goal, Ramsey made a total of 262 top-flight appearances. He scored 40 times, including a backheeled finish against Fulham that won the October 2018 Goal of the Month award.

Ramsey lifted the FA Cup on three occasions and netted the winning goals in both the 2014 and 2017 finals against Hull City and Chelsea respectively.
