Michael Keane's second-half goal gave Everton a 1-0 victory at Norwich City that moved the Toffees into the top half of the Premier League table.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin had Everton's best chance in the first half, but his header from a Bernard delivery was comfortably saved by Tim Krul.
Onel Hernandez's low shot was deflected and bounced off the foot of the post as the hosts tried to find a way through.
But it was Keane who came up with the decisive goal on 55 minutes, when he rose highest at the near post to head in Lucas Digne's corner.
Everton move up to 10th place on 41 points. Norwich City remain at the foot of the table on 21 points, six points from safety.
