Sky Ocean Rescue
The Premier League and Sky have worked together to use their global reach and appeal to raise awareness of the environmental issues caused by plastic.
The Premier League and Sky used the Sky Ocean Rescue campaign to inspire Premier League clubs and fans across the world to take positive action and reduce their single-use plastic intake, making small changes that will have a big impact.
Clubs have been provided with support and guidance on how they can phase out single-use plastic from their stadiums and operations.
They will be supported by the "Sky Ocean Rescue Ninjas", a specialist team of plastics experts dedicated to helping businesses reduce their single-use plastic usage.
At four London clubs, trials of single-use plastic cups for all beverages purchased in the stadium have taken place on matchdays to help clubs consider ways to further reduce plastic usage at stadiums.
In the future, single-use plastic litter at matches could be a thing of the past.
The Premier League and Sky also have gone into primary schools to teach children about the campaign and get them to cut down on single-use plastics in school and at home.
Poppy Appeal
The Premier League has been proud to support The Royal British Legion for many years, making a significant contribution to raising much-needed funds to help people in the Armed Forces community.
During Premier League matches played leading up to Remembrance Sunday, players wear shirts embroidered with a poppy which they then sign and the clubs donate to the Legion to be auctioned.
The match-worn and signed shirts are auctioned throughout November and December with the funds raised going to the Legion.
So far, the auctioning of these match-worn shirts has helped to raised about £2million for the charity.
