Watford have announced the departure of head coach Nigel Pearson.
His exit comes after Watford’s 3-1 defeat by West Ham United on Friday left the Hornets only three points clear of the relegation zone with two matches remaining, at home to Manchester City and away to Arsenal.
Pearson was appointed head coach in December 2019, succeeding Quique Sanchez Flores.
It is the club’s third managerial change of the season after Sanchez Flores had replaced Javi Gracia in September last year.
The club have announced that former player Hayden Mullins, assisted by Graham Stack, will be in charge of the final two matches.
