Son Heung-min has won the 2019/20 Budweiser Goal of the Season award for his incredible individual effort against Burnley.
The Tottenham Hotspur winger picked the ball up on the edge of his own penalty area, surged away from a few Burnley players and skipped past two challenges before slotting beyond Nick Pope.
Son dribbled an incredible 71.4 metres in only 11 seconds, the second-longest distance travelled by a player to score a goal in a Premier League match, behind Andros Townsend for Crystal Palace in 2016/17.
"As soon as I got the ball, I tried to find a pass and I was a bit lucky. I dribbled into the space where no one was," Son said of his goal in December.
"I tried to finish it well because the action before was really quick. I was really focused on my finishing. It was an amazing feeling."
The 28-year-old’s strike, which earned him the December 2019 Budweiser Goal of the Month award, won the season accolade thanks to the combined votes of a panel of experts and the public.
Son's goal topped a nine-goal shortlist that featured each of this season's monthly winners.
