Trent Alexander-Arnold believes winning back-to-back Premier League crowns will be a more difficult task than ending Liverpool's 30-year wait for a top-flight title.
Speaking after receiving his TAG Heuer Young Player of the Season award, the right-back is fully aware of the challenges the champions will face this season.
"We know that there is obviously a big target on our back now being champions and teams are going to be extra motivated when they play us," Alexander-Arnold said.
"So we need to match that mentality, take it to the next step, and understand winning it back-to-back is harder than winning it once."
The champions began their campaign with a thrilling 4-3 victory over promoted Leeds United.
