Exclusively for readers of the Fantasy Premier League Briefing, The Scout has singled out six players worthy of consideration for the festive Gameweeks 15 and 16.

The next deadline is 11:00 GMT deadline on Saturday 26 December. The following Gameweek deadline is 13:30 GMT on Monday 28 December. Don't get caught out.

Mohamed Salah (LIV) £12.5m

Back-to-back matches against West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United lifts Salah's appeal as the go-to captain for Gameweeks 15 and 16. The Premier League's leading goalscorer has blanked only twice all season and will be fully refreshed for the festive period after featuring as a second-half substitute against Crystal Palace last weekend.

Ruben Dias (MCI) £5.7m

Dias offers the most secure route into a Manchester City defence that has conceded just one goal in the last five Gameweeks. The Portuguese has started every match since Gameweek 4 and looks well-placed to bring in more points against Newcastle and Everton.

Patrick Bamford (LEE) £6.4m

Bamford offers managers in Fantasy a major source of value against Burnley and West Brom. The Leeds United forward has produced 52 shots, 47 shots in the box and 24 shots on target this season; all those totals are among the top two players in FPL.

James Maddison (LEI) £7.1m

The Leicester City playmaker boasts strong all-round potential against Manchester United and Crystal Palace. Maddison's 14 shots and 13 chances created in the last four Gameweeks both place among the top four players in FPL. He has scored twice and provided an assist over that period.

James Tarkowski (BUR) £5.3m

Tarkowski has earned four of his five clean sheets this season in the last seven Gameweeks. The Burnley centre-back has the aerial threat to punish Leeds and Sheffield United sides who both rank among the bottom five sides for headed shots conceded.

Bruno Fernandes (MUN) £11.0m

His 17-point tally against Leeds last weekend was Fernandes' sixth double-figure return of the campaign, joint-top among all players in FPL. The Man Utd playmaker can reward his 43.2 per cent ownership with more big hauls against Leicester and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
