His prolific record against Burnley boosts the potential of Riyad Mahrez (£8.1m) in Gameweek 22 of Fantasy Premier League.

The Manchester City winger has scored five goals in his last two meetings with the Clarets.

That includes a hat-trick and 21-point haul in a 5-0 win for Pep Guardiola’s side in Gameweek 10 this season.

Mahrez hat-trick v Burnley

Crucially, Mahrez was rested for his side’s weekend win over Sheffield United, suggesting he will return to the starting XI at Turf Moor.

He earns a place in the Selection that lines up in a 3-5-2 formation, with Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) handed the armband and Bruno Fernandes (£11.4m) the vice-captain.

Bernd Leno (ARS) £5.0m

The Arsenal No 1 has climbed to third place among goalkeepers in FPL, having amassed 43 points in his last seven fixtures. Leno can add to that tally against a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who have scored once in their last three matches in all competitions.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (LIV) £7.3m

The Liverpool right-back boasts a major attacking threat at home to Brighton & Hove Albion. Alexander-Arnold’s seven shots and five shots in the box both rank second among defenders in the last four Gameweeks.

Joao Cancelo (MCI) £6.0m

The full-back was another Man City player to benefit from a rest at the weekend. Cancelo offers multiple routes to points against Burnley; he has produced a goal, an assist, seven clean sheets and seven bonus points in his last nine starts.

Harry Maguire (MUN) £5.5m

Manchester United’s centre-back looks a strong all-round option at home to Southampton. Maguire has produced attacking or defensive returns in four of his last five outings.

Mohamed Salah (LIV) £12.6m

Liverpool’s Egyptian looks back to his best after scoring twice to earn 15 points against West Ham United. At home, Salah’s 35 shots and 14 shots on target both place among the top two players in FPL.

Bruno Fernandes (MUN) £11.4m

Man Utd’s playmaker produced a goal and an assist against Southampton in Gameweek 10. Fernandes has boasted a major goal threat recently, with his 17 shots over the last four Gameweeks a league-leading total.

Riyad Mahrez (MCI) £8.1m

An ownership of just 3.7 per cent underlines his huge potential as a differential ahead of Tuesday’s 16:30 GMT deadline.

Jack Grealish (AVL) £7.8m

Aston Villa’s playmaker provides an all-round attacking threat against West Ham. At home, Grealish’s 28 chances created rank second among all players in FPL, while his 19 shots in the box rank third in midfield.

Harvey Barnes (LEI) £6.9m

The Leicester City winger has stepped up his consistency ahead of a visit to Fulham. Barnes has four goals and two assists in his previous seven appearances, blanking on just one of those occasions.

Callum Wilson (NEW) £6.7m

The top target for Gameweek 22, he has earned over 280,000+ transfers in for Newcastle United’s home encounter with Crystal Palace. Wilson produced a goal, an assist and 12 points against the Eagles in the reverse fixture this season.

Michail Antonio (WHU) £6.6m

West Ham’s forward visits Aston Villa on the back of two goals and an assist in four starts since returning from injury. Antonio can take advantage of a Villa side that have conceded 42 shots in the box in their last four matches, the third-worst record in the Premier League.
