Stoke City v Southampton

Ten-man Stoke played out a goalless draw against Southampton after Marko Arnautovic was dismissed early on at the bet365 Stadium.

The Austria international received a straight red card from referee Anthony Taylor for a high challenge on Sofiane Boufal on 20 minutes.

After the break, Claude Puel’s Southampton pushed hard for the opener, with Jay Rodriguez missing a clear opportunity after good work by Boufal.

James Ward-Prowse and Nathan Redmond also had chances for the visitors, with Lee Grant by far the busier goalkeeper, but Southampton could not find a way through.

Stoke's Mark Hughes marked his 400th Premier League game as a manager with a hard-won point.
