The Scout is tipping five players to produce big points in Gameweek 1 of 2021/22 Fantasy Premier League.
Michail Antonio (WHU) £7.5m
The West Ham United forward visits Newcastle United on the back of some strong pre-season displays.
Antonio scored all three of his goals during the summer in West Ham's last three matches, while also supplying an assist.
He will look to thrive against a Newcastle side who struggled defensively at St James’ Park in 2020/21.
At home, the Magpies' two clean sheets were fewer than any other side, while their 33 goals conceded were only better than the 39 of relegated West Bromwich Albion.
Antonio’s displays in away matches last term will also encourage his 19.1 per cent ownership.
Nine of his 15 goal involvements came on his travels, the striker scoring six and assisting a further three goals.
That included three goals in West Ham's final three away contests of 2020/21.
Away-day specialist
The underlying numbers back up Antonio’s superior threat on the road.
TV Info - Broadcasters
He averaged an away shot every 25 minutes in 2020/21 but that figure dropped to 43.5 minutes at home.
Antonio had 32 shots in the penalty area away compared with only 19 at home.
And crucially, his total of 12 big chances on the road was double his home haul of six.
Kind start for Hammers
West Ham’s short-term schedule strengthens Antonio’s claim for a place in opening squads.
According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), three of their first four matches score only three.
That gives Antonio the chance to quickly make his mark on 2021/22 Fantasy, starting with Newcastle this weekend.
