The return to fitness of Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£8.0m) hands managers in Fantasy Premier League an early differential for their opening squads.
Calvert-Lewin, along with Everton team-mate Richarlison (£7.5m), was not involved in any of his side’s pre-season friendlies.
But manager Rafael Benitez has confirmed both players are available for the Toffees' home encounter with Southampton on Saturday.
Calvert-Lewin was among the most popular forwards in Fantasy when the game launched earlier this summer.
However, his ownership has plummeted to a mere 7.5 per cent after he was recently sidelined with a minor injury.
Fixtures to flourish
Everton's favourable opening schedule can quickly revive interest in their centre-forward.
The Merseysiders avoid all of last season's top-eight sides in the first six Gameweeks.
That gives Calvert-Lewin the opportunity to mirror his excellent start to the previous campaign.
He scored 10 goals and supplied an assist across his first nine outings in 2020/21, blanking just once.
Remember, the Gameweek 1 deadline is at 18:30 BST on Friday 13 August.
