Arsenal have confirmed the permanent signing of Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old's move to Arsenal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

Odegaard spent last season on loan at Emirates Stadium, scoring once and providing two assists in 14 Premier League appearances.

Capped 30 times by Norway, Odegaard joined Real Madrid in 2015 and is the youngest player to appear for the club, having made his debut aged 16 years and 157 days.

The midfielder spent time on loan at Heerenveen, Vitesse and Real Sociedad, scoring 18 goals in all competitions across those spells.
