The Scout's panel of experts give their verdicts on who managers should captain ahead of the Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 10 deadline of 11:00 BST on Saturday 30 October.
What the experts say
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
There are a few great options for the captain's armband this week, including the likes of Phil Foden (£8.1m) against Crystal Palace and Mason Mount (£7.5m) against Newcastle United. However, Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) is likely to punish managers who don't captain him for Liverpool's home match against Brighton & Hove Albion and therefore he wears the armband for me...again!
Paul Gee (@FPLPaulGee)
Just play the game simply and pick Salah as captain.
Chuck Booth (@ChuckBoothSport)
As much as I want to consider other options, I can't look past Salah, who's in the form of his life. He's my captain this week, although I'd love to consider Ben Chilwell (£5.8m) in a world where Salah doesn't exist.
Holly Shand (@HollyShand)
My vice-captain this week will be Son Heung-min (£10.2m). It's a great time to be facing Manchester United, who've conceded nine goals in their last two league matches. He would be a worthy stand-in if my permanent captain pick Salah somehow misses out.
Utkarsh Dalmia (@zophar666)
There’s no reason not to captain Salah but if you want to go against the grain, an in-form Foden could be worth a punt against Palace.
Tom Cantle (@WGTA_FPL)
We need to retire this for the foreseeable future. Leave it on Salah and worry about the rest of your team.
