Ederson is on course to grab a share of a Premier League record as he bids to win the Castrol Golden Glove award for the third season in a row.
Leading the way with 12 shutouts, Manchester City’s goalkeeper can become only the third man to win the award in three consecutive campaigns, after Pepe Reina did so with Liverpool and Joe Hart with Man City.

Having played in 21 of City’s 22 matches, Ederson has kept a clean sheet in 57 per cent of his appearances this term. At his current rate, he would beat his last two winning tallies of 16 and 19.
Ederson next faces Southampton, Brentford and Norwich City, having kept a clean sheet in all three reverse fixtures this term.

The last man to beat Ederson to the award was his countryman Alisson in 2018/19, and the Liverpool goalkeeper is in the hunt again now with only two fewer shutouts.
Alisson has a match in hand but after conceding in three outings, against Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City, he shut out Brentford at home.
Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale is joint-second alongside Alisson despite playing fewer matches than his rivals, and he also has two matches in hand over Ederson.
Ramsdale has kept a clean sheet in 53 per cent of his 17 appearances, nearly matching Ederson’s average.
Hugo Lloris also has momentum after the arrival of Antonio Conte, with Spurs' No 1 keeping five clean sheets in his eight matches under the new head coach.
With 19 matches still to play this season, three more than Ederson, Lloris is firmly in the frame.
Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Jose Sa is in even better form, with six shutouts in his last nine matches.
The Portuguese can put further pressure on the leading goalkeepers against Brentford, before back-to-back duels with Ramsdale and Lloris.
Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy is also in the running, but his involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal and then the FIFA Club World Cup with Chelsea means he must wait until mid-February for his next shot at a Premier League clean sheet.
