Newcastle United have announced the signing of Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes from Lyon.
Guimaraes played more than 70 times during two years at Lyon, who finished fourth in Ligue 1 last season.
"Bruno is a hugely exciting talent and has been one of our primary targets so I'm delighted to secure him," Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe told the club's official website.
"He strengthens the group immediately ready for the challenge ahead.
"He has been one of the standout performers in France and is a full international for Brazil so I have no doubt our supporters will really enjoy watching him.
"We look forward to welcoming him to the club on his return from international duty."
The 24-year-old arrives at Newcastle after being part of Brazil’s squad for their recent FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ecuador.

Guimaraes follows Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood as Newcastle's third signing of the transfer window.
He will wear the No 39 shirt - the number of the taxi once driven by his father.
Guimaraes will hope to make his Premier League debut for Newcastle at home to Everton on Tuesday 8 February.
