The 612,000 Fantasy Premier League managers who chose Harry Kane (£12.4m) as their captain over the hot favourite Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) were rewarded as the Tottenham Hotspur forward outscored Liverpool's star in Double Gameweek 29.
Salah scored in Saturday's 2-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion but was benched for Wednesday's trip to Arsenal, frustrating the 3.7million FPL managers who had given him the armband.
While the Egyptian was introduced as a second-half substitute in the 2-0 win at Emirates Stadium, he blanked and added just a single point to his tally, totalling 10 points across his two outings.
Kane fared rather better on Wednesday, scoring again and picking up two bonus points in Spurs' 2-0 win at Brighton, having also netted in Saturday's 3-2 defeat against Manchester United.
As a result, he eclipsed Salah's total with 14 points, an eight-point swing with the captaincy.

The Man Utd star has now amassed 1,201 points in FPL over his career, scoring 96 goals, supplying 46 assists and netting two hat-tricks.

Kane was favoured by over 55,000 managers and delivered double figures.

The tremendous form of Bukayo Saka (£6.6m) made him the No 1 transfer target ahead of the deadline. But the midfielder blanked in both of his matches against Leicester City and Liverpool.
Dejan Kulusevski (£6.2m) and Matt Doherty (£4.8m) completed the top three. The Spurs duo had a combined four double-digit hauls across their six starts over the previous three Gameweeks, prompting 1.35m transfers in.
Kulusevski rewarded new owners with an assist in each of his Double Gameweek 29 appearances, totalling 11 points, while Doherty earned a clean sheet at Brighton.

Injuries ruled out Bowen and Dias, but those who turned their backs on Cancelo missed out on nine points as the full-back recovered from illness to keep a clean sheet in Manchester City's goalless draw at Crystal Palace.
