The Scout's panel of experts give their verdicts on whom managers should captain ahead of the Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 12 deadline of 18:00 BST on Tuesday 18 October.
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) has now returned in back-to-back matches in all competitions. The midfielder averages 8.7 points per match against his opponents on Wednesday, West Ham United. He has only failed to return once in the last six Premier League matches against the Hammers. With Liverpool high on confidence after beating Manchester City in Gameweek 11, I am backing the Egyptian.
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Harry Kane (£11.5m) has now scored goals in five consecutive matches for the first time in his career. The forward has returned in every Gameweek, with the exception of Gameweek 1. He has also returned in his last two visits to Manchester United. In those two matches he has returned 22 points.
Pranil Sheth (@Lateriser12)
Salah was terrific in a central role against Man City. He's my favourite option for captaincy this week. He is playing at home against a West Ham team who have defensive injuries.
Andy Park (@FPL_Sonaldo)
If I do decide to get to Salah, he is a very solid captain pick. But not all of us will have him, or we'll be unable to get to him. I think captaincy should be quite spread this week, so going for a gut captaincy call is also fine. Kane, Leandro Trossard (£6.9m), Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.7m), Dominic Solanke (£5.8m) and Kieran Trippier (£5.7m) are all shouts. I'm leaning towards my guy Son Heung-min (£11.8m) if I don't have Salah.
Jamie Pigott (@Futbolislifefpl)
The best captains in my opinion are Salah, Trossard and Kane in that order, depending on who you have in your squad.
Paul Gee (@FPLPaulGee)
Salah is back. If you have him, captain him. He could do some serious damage against a depleted West Ham defence.
Ben Crabtree (@FC_Crabdogg)
Mitrovic should be back to full fitness at home to Aston Villa, who are struggling. I also like some Chelsea players. Raheem Sterling (£9.9m) could take advantage of some counter-attacking opportunities at Brentford.
Pras (@FPL_Pras)
For those that held or can easily get to Salah, he's the best pick at home to the Hammers. He could have had more than the solitary goal against Man City at the weekend, while he hit a hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League last week. For those who can't get to Salah, there are decent alternatives with Kane away at Man Utd, Trossard at home to Nottingham Forest and Wilfried Zaha (£7.5m) at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Utkarsh Dalmia (@Zophar666)
West Ham have a lot of injuries at the back so Salah could profit. Apart from that, Newcastle have been very strong at home so Callum Wilson (£7.3m) or Trippier could also be good.
Nick (@WGTA_Nick)
Salah is starting to hit form again across all competitions so he feels like the best pick.
