As the return of the ePremier League was announced for the 2022/23 season, here is all you need to know.
Who can participate in the 2022/23 ePremier League?
Registration is open now, with entry to the ePremier League (ePL) open to UK-based players aged 16 or over. Each player selects their favoured Premier League club and console when they register.
Players will compete in EA SPORTS FIFA 23 Ultimate Team on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 using crossplay.
ePremier League squad building restrictions will be in place: only Premier League players, plus ICONs and HEROes who played in the Premier League, may be selected.
Why can I register?
You can register at e.premierleague.com.
How can I qualify for the ePL finals?
Firstly, players of all abilities will compete for a place in the Club Playoffs by participating in a series of online open qualification tournaments, played using crossplay, throughout November.
At each of the three Online Qualifiers, Players will be entered into a single elimination bracket lasting 1-2 days – depending on the number of entrants – where they will play 1v1 in two-legged matches to advance.
Players earn ranking points on club-specific leaderboards across all three Online Qualifiers, with points ranging from 5,000 for the winner of each event, down to 75 points for players ranked in the top 256. The points are then aggregated across all three events.
A total of 320 players – the top eight players per console, per club – will progress to the clubs’ Online Qualifier Playoffs, which will determine the eight-player fields at December’s Club Playoffs.
Online qualification tournaments (times TBC)
Qualifier 1 1-2 November 2022
Qualifier 2 5-6 November 2022
Qualifier 3 8-9 November 2022
Players who advance from the Online Qualifiers will progress to the Online Qualifier Playoff for the club of their choice, for the chance to reach the Club Playoffs.

What happens with the Club Playoffs?
How many players advance to the Club Playoffs depends on the clubs. They have the option of selecting one or two professional players – one per console – to compete in the Club Playoffs. This is known as Fast-Tracking.
Each club will have submitted their Fast-Track players before the Online Qualifiers begin, subject to approval by EA SPORTS and the Premier League. As a result, each of the Club Playoffs will feature a minimum of six and a maximum of eight players from the Online Qualifier Playoffs.
Club Playoffs will take place at a date of each club's choice between 29 November and 28 December, with each club hosting two double elimination brackets – one for each console.
The Club Playoffs may be online, offline or online broadcast events.
Each of the 20 Premier League clubs will narrow down the competitors and take forward two players, one per console, to represent them at the Grand Final from 25-26 March 2023
What happens at the Grand Final?
In the Grand Final at Here East in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the format will feature each club’s representatives working collaboratively.
Each club will be represented by two players who will take part in a series of 1v1 matches against pairings from other clubs, with one player competing per console. The aggregate score will determine the winners.
What are the prizes?
Players will be competing for a prize pool of £100,000, with the four competitors from the top two clubs earning spots in the EA SPORTS FIFA 23 Global Series Playoffs and Play-Ins.
