Southampton have confirmed the departure of first-team manager Nathan Jones.
The Welshman departs after Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to relegation rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers left Southampton rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.
Jones won only one of his eight Premier League matches in charge, leaving Saints four points from safety.

First-team coaches Chris Cohen and Alan Sheehan have also left the club.
Jones was appointed earlier this season, in November 2022, replacing Ralph Hasenhuttl.
Prior to that he was at Championship side Luton Town, guiding the club to a sixth-placed finish and the playoffs in 2021/22, falling just short of promotion to the Premier League.
He was also named Championship Manager of the Year in 2021/22.

First-team lead coach Ruben Selles will take charge of training and prepare the team ahead of Saturday's trip to Chelsea.
Selles, 38, joined Southampton in June last year, having previously been an assistant manager at FC Copenhagen, where he helped the Danish club win their first league title in three years and qualify for the knockout stages of the UEFA Conference League as group winners.
The Spaniard has also worked as a youth coach at Valencia and Villarreal.
