Manchester United have confirmed Marcus Rashford will miss "a few matches" after suffering an injury in Saturday’s home win over Everton.
The 25-year-old limped off in the 80th minute with what appeared to be a groin problem, and is now set for a spell on the sidelines.
A Man Utd statement says: “Marcus Rashford will be unavailable for Thursday’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final game against Sevilla because of a muscle injury.
“Subsequent assessment of the injury suggested that Marcus will be unavailable for a few games, but is expected to be back for the season run-in.”
Manager Erik ten Hag told the club's official website: "Of course it is a setback and he is disappointed about it but he is not totally broken because he knows he will return quickly.
"He is optimistic and he has started straight on his recovery and his rehab. That helps him to get back soon. It's a few games. I can't give more details because we have to see how the injury develops."
Shaw fitness update
Luke Shaw and Alejandro Garnacho will also miss the midweek home match against Sevilla.
“No, [they are] both not available,” said Ten Hag. “Definitely the injury of Garnacho is more severe, is more strong, but Luke Shaw I expect him back at short notice, yes.”
Busy spell ahead
Having scored 31 goals for club and country this season, Rashford's injury comes at a bad time as Man Utd prepare for eight matches in the space of 25 days.
In addition to their quest for a top-four finish in the Premier League, the Red Devils are in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League (UEL) and the semi-finals of the FA Cup (FAC).

Rashford's injury is bad news too for a host of Fantasy Premier League managers, given he is in 50.8 per cent of squads.
He was the second most-captained player last weekend, in Gameweek 30, handed the armband by more than 1.2 million FPL bosses.
Even before today's news, Rashford was already the most-sold player since suffering his injury, with more than 335,000 Fantasy managers letting him go this week. Sales will only accelerate now after the confirmation that he will miss matches.
