Manchester United's hopes of progressing in the UEFA Europa League were shattered on Thursday evening with a 3-0 quarter-final second-leg defeat to Sevilla, losing 5-2 on aggregate.
Erik ten Hag's team looked jittery throughout, and they went behind on eight minutes when Youssef En-Nesyri capitalised on a mix-up between Harry Maguire and David De Gea to slot home the opener.

Ten Hag introduced fit-again top-scorer Marcus Rashford at the start of the second half, but within two minutes of the restart, Loic Bade's looping header bounced in off the underside of the bar to put Sevilla 2-0 ahead.
De Gea was beaten for a third and final time with nine minutes left, when En-Nesyri netted his second of the night - and third goal over the two legs - slotting into an empty net after the goalkeeper had failed to control the ball outside his penalty area.

Thursday night's match was the first of three potentially season-defining fixtures for Man Utd.
They are next in action against Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup semi-finals on Sunday and return to Premier League action at Tottenham Hotspur, who are two places and six points behind Man Utd in the table, on Thursday 27 April.
West Ham book semi-final spot
West Ham United booked their place in the UEFA Europa Conference League semi-finals with a fine 4-1 comeback win against Gent at London Stadium.
Having earned a 1-1 draw in the first-leg tie in Belgium, David Moyes's side went behind on 25 minutes when Hugo Cuypers bundled home from close range.

Gent's lead was short-lived and Michail Antonio netted the equaliser with the first of his two goals from Jarrod Bowen's free-kick 11 minutes later.
Lucas Paqueta fired West Ham 2-1 ahead on the night and 3-2 overall with a 55th-minute penalty and three minutes later, Declan Rice finished a driving midfield run in style, arrowing his shot into the bottom corner.

Antonio put the tie beyond Gent's reach with a fourth goal on 63 minutes to secure West Ham's place in the last four.
West Ham, who were knocked out of the Europa League by Eintracht Frankfurt at the semi-final stage last season, will now face Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.
The Hammers' only European success came in 1965 when they won the European Cup Winners' Cup, while their last major trophy success came in 1980 against Arsenal in the FA Cup final.

Their attention, however, will quickly turn to picking up Premier League points when they travel to AFC Bournemouth on Sunday looking to edge further away from the relegation zone.
