When Erling Haaland scored Manchester City’s fourth goal in their 4-1 win over Arsenal, he wrote his name into the Premier League record books.
TV Info - Broadcasters
It was his 33rd goal of a remarkable debut campaign and means he becomes the outright top scorer in a 38-match Premier League season.
Haaland has surpassed the previous record of 32 goals, which was set by Mohamed Salah during his maiden season for Liverpool in 2017/18.
The Man City forward is now only one behind Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole’s totals set across a 42-match season, in 1993/94 and 1994/95 respectively, when they netted 34 each.

Haaland has also moved nine clear of his nearest rival Harry Kane, in the race for this season's Castrol Golden Boot award.
Kane is in action on Thursday when Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester United, while Haaland will look to equal and possibly break Shearer and Cole's mark on Sunday, when City travel to Fulham.
