Owners of Marcus Rashford (£7.2m) in Fantasy Premier League have been handed a huge boost following the news of the midfielder's return to training on Wednesday.

The Manchester United star is the most-sold player ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 BST deadline, moved on by a massive 323,000+ managers after missing the Red Devils’ 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend due to injury.

Those former owners will be regretting that decision, with many looking to buy him back for his Double Gameweek 37 against AFC Bournemouth and Chelsea if he is passed fit.

Rashford is Man Utd’s top-scoring player in Fantasy over his last four matches, scoring once and supplying two assists to collect 22 points.

Man Utd FPL points, last four apps
Player Goals Assists Points
Rashford 1 2 22
Fernandes 1 1 21
De Gea 0 0 18
Shaw 0 0 18

The underlying numbers also back up his importance to Erik ten Hag’s side in their bid for a top-four finish.

Player stats, last four matches
Player Shots Shots in box Big chances Shots on target
Rashford 18 10 4 8
Fernandes 14 5 1 5
Antony 14 8 2 3
Eriksen 9 3 0 1
Martial 7 5 2 4
Sancho 1 1 0 1

Indeed, Rashford’s totals of 18 shots, 10 shots in the box, four big chances and eight shots on target were all more than any other Man Utd player in their last four matches.

Fantasy managers will now be eagerly awaiting Ten Hag’s press conference later this week for further news on Rashford's availability.
