Pep Guardiola says Manchester City will continue to look to the club academy and sign young players this summer and as they build for the future of the club.
“We are buying for the long term,” he told mancity.com. “That’s why Leroy [Sane] is here, why Raz [Raheem Sterling] is here and why Gabriel [Jesus] is here.
“All of them are 20 years old, except one or two cases when we need experience. The age is so important.”
Man City host Stoke City on Wednesday night looking to reduce Chelsea’s lead to eight points, but Guardiola is not purely focused on the present.
